    Hertfordshire Health Walks January-April 2017

Walk with us in the New Year and step your way to better health and wellbeing

The Countryside Management Service coordinates a programme of FREE, short and regular walks, delivered by a large team of trained, insured and passionate walk leaders.

It’s simple to take part, just sign up online and turn up! Walkers can also arrive 10-15 minutes before their first walk to fill in a paper form.

Walking is a great way to increase the amount of moderate intensity exercise you do each week. Brisk is best, so aim for a pace that makes you feel a little warmer but still able to hold a conversation. Hertfordshire Health Walks, range in duration between 20 minutes and 90 minutes, and are the perfect way to contribute to the UK’s Chief Medical Officers’ recommendation of 150 minutes of physical activity per week. Health Walks are a sociable pastime, as many finish with the opportunity for a cup of tea or coffee with fellow walkers.
